About the Advanced Practice Group
This group is aimed at practitioners working in advanced practice roles in PICU in the UK and ROI. It may also be of interest to those wishing to develop this role in their clinical area or senior staff interested in training for an advanced practitioner role. It is proposed that this group meets bi-annually. The next meeting will be held in Cambridge on the 21st September. Further details can be obtained from jenny.longden@cmft.nhs.uk
The terms of reference of the PICS Advanced Practice Group were defined as follows:
* To survey current advanced practice within the UK (through audit) - present at PICS conference
* To raise the profile of the advanced practitioner role and ensure that this is acknowledged and promoted. Influence and develop this role.
* To support practitioners in clinical practice through education, information sharing and dissemination of best practice.
* Develop links with European colleagues.
